Pay close attention, folks, and while I ask you to do me a simple favor, I'm going to introduce you to some of my favorite bloggers. Long story short, I need you to do the following:
1. Visit Huckdoll's Hood; and
2. Click on the big, orange Joeprah button on her homepage.
Now here's why if you really want to know:
First off, meet Maria, better known in the circle as Immoral Matriarch. Maria is a rapid-rising star in the blogging world, and for good reason. She tells it like it is, no sugar-coating, and she's one of the biggest wiseasses you'll ever read. Ignore her blog for just a moment and go check out her Q&A. That's pretty much all you need to read to be sucked in to her story. It's not for the faint of heart. (In other words, Mom, this isn't your kind of blog, so you should probably skip ahead.)
Maria has been asked to speak at BlogHer in July. It's a huge honor, and she's pretty stoked about the invitation, but she can't afford to attend.
Enter: Huckdoll. If you visit Huckdoll's Hood, bookmark it, because you're going to want to return to check it out. But before you get caught up in her saga (bad girl, turned good girl, turned career girl, turned mom to identical twin girls girl, turned stay at home mom girl is how she puts it), click on that bright orange button on the side of her site.
If you click on that button, it counts toward the number of clicks Huckdoll secures in the race to drive the most traffic to Joeprah (the coolest stay-at-home-dad blogger). If Huckdoll wins, she gets $25. She'll donate that $25 to Maria and match it. That's another $50 closer to getting Maria to San Francisco to change the blogging world forever.
